At the resurrection itself there were no witnesses present.
We therefore cherish this sublime event in deferential silence.
Christ appears from his existence as God, set against the background
of an idealized garden, the garden of Eden, with a rising sun.
Mary Magdalene, remorseful sinner, recognizes her Master, and receives
the first mission. She is standing in front of the high horizon
of a mountainous landscape, which she will enter with a message:
"The Lord lives!"
